Not joining the overstocked debate...Nice looking tank and great fish selection...the only thing I can fault with is the waterline...It somewhat ruin the effect of the tank IMO.
 
Definitly a nice stock, and no doubt they are living, if not thriving..The thing that bothers me is a lot of your fish are cave dwellers during the day, and they might be stressed because of that. I personally feel fish enjoy enrichment, exploring rocks, caves, driftwood, imbetween plants etc. This is why I prefer a planted/decorated tank then to one that is bare. Any way, as long as your fish arn't dying, then I have nothing against the tank, great stock!

Can't help about the waterline as that's where the overflow holes limits are.

No not all my fish are cave dwellers bottom dwellera to be exact. Adding caves is a biggest risk to many big fish keeper as they end up getting stuck inside and most of my fish are air breather and chances they could drown. I had rocks before but my lungfish kept on moving them and caused ths upper snout to get cut and might get infection. As for the drifwood I had to removed my driftwood as I added a stingray to create floor space. Real plants won't work as my lungfish and giant gourami loves eating plants. Even fake plants are destroyed. This kind of setup is not really ideal for decoration. I wanted to really decorate the tank but the fish that lives inside won't allow it as they just redecorate it. Too much hasle fixing it.

Yeah, I know they arn't all cave dwellers, hell most probably enjoy the open water. I definitly realise that you would prefer the decorated tank, it just would not work. I remember reading somewhere that you are setting up a 600g tank...maybe that one you should go a little easy on the stock and get some driftwood/rocks instaid :naughty:

It's a 700g tank and for sure it will have driftwood and rocks. However I will only use plastic plants but will use the jungle vines as they look realistic.
