krylon fusion and scratching??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
when you paint your tank, you want to paint the outside or else when you fill your tank the paint chemicals will kill your fish

This is not true, I have 2 DIY spraybars and intake pipes that i painted with Krylon Fusion....Haven't had 1 sick or dying fish....

Hello; In another thread a member was asking for pointers about sticking tiles onto the back panel of a tank. Perhaps something adheared to the back on the inside would give the visual change you desire?

Krylon fusion if left to dry throughly for seven days DOES NOT KILL ANIMALS I have used it for years on Marine, Reef, Fresh and Terrarium Tanks. I never lost one fish, coral, frog or any other life due to painting the tank with this. People post without doing the research or know the facts which never does anyone any service.

If its DRY for seven DAYS Its FISH SAFE see the above Post!! Hundreds of aquarissts have used it.

i use it as well. making sure the paint is completely dried and cured makes it fish safe because it wont flake in your aquarium. if not cured it can flake off and fish can then eat it and will die. the paint itself is not fish safe. krylon did not make a paint for fish. they made a paint that just so happens to be waterproof and doesnt leach into the water. i use it on most of my intakes. like i said, take your time, make sure whatever your spraying is well preped, and allow propper drying time. then it is safe enough for our aquariums.

Yeah, I'm thinking of brushing on Latex paint, not rattlecan spray paint.

Still haven't seen anyone say if they've done it or if it is safe.
