any big socal MFK meets planned?

until we have a large spot like the new ocean blue or jonptcs place (who doesn't even post here any more) all the talk on this thread is no more valuable then my post.

Its not huge but I hosted a SCAPE meet in July with 65 people and it wasn't too bad...

thats great and might work, but when we've had the big MFK meets you get 100+ easy. that requires a bit of pre-planning...
I've been to the last couple meets in LA, i know how many people show up.
Unfortunately, the lady that owns the house I'm renting passed away. I got a notice about a week ago that I have to move out because her heirs are selling the house to cash out.
Sucks.
my house can have 100 people. im down to host a bbq here but id need some organizing help. serious people contact me. a fish store would be better but i have a few bbqs and 2 smokers. id just need help with tables, chairs, ideas............ just a good mfk meet n greet would be fun
I've been a part of this forum for about 3 years now and I have yet to attend one of these MFK meets, but I just moved to Michigan for school. PLEASE host this event in the summer so I can attend when I'm back HOME (westcoast =bestcoast) because I'd hate to miss another meeting. And idk, I skimmed pretty briefly through the thread so idk if JohnPTC is still open to do it at his place, but I contacted Jeremy Wade, host of Animal Planet's River Monsters, last year in hopes that he could stop by the 2010 socal meet, but he said he was busy filming season 3 and to definitely contact him in the future because he'd love to see JohnPTC's arapaima and meet his fans. I can try contacting him again, but I want to give him ample time to plan his schedule so if this year's MFK meet does pan out and is planned early enough, I'll be willing to ask him again.
I just. Read this whole post. I would be so d to attend. But I notice nothing has posted since october. Is there going to be one in 2012?
