Just to clarify, I was told this. I didn't believe it myself but I got a yearlong pass for Steinhart Aquarium today so I'll be seeing it very soon..

I saw one in a pet store a few months back - it was 18years old (jardini) still looked really good except it had some lumps on its face

Are you sure? Five years ago when you started this thread, you posted that your aro was two years old then. Making it 7 years old now.

Believe me i understand what can go wrong.. it happened to me too.. my Arow jumped to his death and he was almost 30 inches and just past 3 years old.. now this one is 2 years old and 24 inches.. {in Photo} but i just wanted to know how many actually get to live a long life.. or are they all doomed to live a few years only.. I thought it would really be neat to see some Arow's in their prime and hear some good storys of success and maybe even learn a thing or two..

Maybe you made a mistake on it's age back then? Though hard to think anyone would confuse having an aro for only two years when it was really four.

Anyhow either age is pretty old for a fish in a tank

i do not think i made a mistake.. but according to hubby.. i had my first knee operation about 10 years ago.. and at the same time i was in intensive care my first arow jumped...soon after we got this girl.. so i do not have exact date..but pretty close.. could be off somewhat but not more then one year.. someday i will try to find really old threads.. if they still exist and narrow it down..
