Thank you and I wish they werent women beaters lol. And good luck kosta, I know you'll have some nice festae from that group:)

wow! so busy with work these days havent been on mfk lately.
great pair jason, looks like i got some catching up to do,all mine are growing nicely i got one male that seems to out grew everyone.
getting ready to start pairing him with a female i like.
good job keep up the good work.

Thanks Jason, Sounds like you and Buddha have had some success pairing grown Festae. I have had a hard time doing it, I would love to hear your techniques or suggestions. I just acquire a batch of fry and let them sort it out. My current wild batch also are showing a wide variation in growth.

I guess I am late to this thread, Jason. I'm glad that Bill was able to hook you up with such a nice Festae. He seems to keep fresh bloodlines. I'm still holding on to my Festae group. There has been a few battles here and there recently but not one single fatality. It looks like I have an equal ratio of males and females too. I hope everything continues to go well for you and your multiple breeding projects.

Well this pair i just worked a divider with. ive had most of my success growing them out in large growout community and let them naturally pair out. while theyre growing they will bang on eachother so you will need another tank to move the weaker ones out and continue thining them down untill you get a pair.

Hey Al, thanks and im glad Bill hooked it up too:) cant wait to see your updates:) how big are they now?

Here is a quick update on my pair. I moved them into a 125 with some dithers hoping that since there was a little aggression that it would be taken out on them instead of the female. and so far it is working. they have been in this new set up since monday and not one scratch on her:) This morning i woke up to them dancing all over the tank and her tube looks to be coming down!!! so hopefully " Knock on Wood" they will spawn for me soon. In this video you can see how much the male as progressed since i first got him.

Im also looking for a large Male festae for another project, either F0 or F1. if anyone knows of or has one please hit me up thanks.

Looking good! I am really interested to see how he looks spawning...his daddy gets real nice yellow with some nice fat dark bars.

It looks like they'll be breeding soon. Their colors are fantastic! The dithers are nice too. Only you would pull off using Umbees as dithers lol! Let us know what happens.
