jack dempsey x pearlscale texas hybrid w/pic

Those are quite nice..better than some hybrids. Hmm.

Electric Blue Jacks would be spectacular crossed with a Texas..if the EB jack could stand up to the Texas.
If you wanted to have the Electric Blue show up in the hybrids you would have to breed a male EBJD to one of the female F1s

my plan is a blue gene jack dempsey x w/c pearlscale texas aka carpintis vontehilo

and im shure shes w/c i got her from jeff rapps

imma start a pirahna collection

ohh yeah i dont know because im greedy and if i start making more then they will be common and everyone will know

You do know the eb gene won't show in the first generation...? Think it takes several generations to get ebjd, especially if only one parent carries the gene....and only a carrier of the gene at that, not even an actual eb....

I have a feeling you may not get exactly the type of fry your expecting.

Exactly. EB is a recessive gene. The hybrids will only be carriers of the Electric blue gene but will not be able to express it. If the hybrids are fertile and you breed them together 25% will be electric Blue, 50% will carry the gene but not show it, and 25% won't have the gene at all. Chances are the males of the ebjdXtex hybrids will not be fertile. If you want the EB gene to show up you could breed an Electric Blue JD male to one of the female hybrids and 50% will express the EB gene and 50% will only carry it.
I wouldn't introduce the EB gene only because I think that the Electric Blue will make it look like a an EBJD with a texas body shape. Might as well as be a regular EBJD then.
