don't use cotton, it decomposes, pollutes your tank, kills your fish

Yes, really. Cotton is organic and will break down. You need to use a material that is inorganic and fish safe.

he is correct it will over time but since i change it out every month mine is never in long enough to get that bad.

oh it's cool then ill take them out in a week or two to see how much dirt theyve collected, and also what kind of a state they're in!

This is because most people here understand the concept of quality. All they do is see a low price and assume its a better value. If I could I would ship you every WalMart in America.

you use cotton or polyester quilt batting?

I would think cotton (not polyester) would get quite rank in a month in a filter
