Where the Simpsons takes place
I heard this from the LFS, they said an easy way to sex CA/SA cichlids is the males are usually the only ones that will attack there own reflection through a mirror or when the lights around the tank are off. Is it true?
It worked for me.. My old red devil always attacked his reflection, even when he was young. His mate(the female) never did? I think this can be a really good argument.
This was my male red devil when he was young... he did not like the dovii's!

In my experience, I have never seen a female attack the glass, however not all males attack the glass either

Yeah too many different personalities and variables. Especially when you get up to the $40 and up range...youll want more proof than that. Otherwise you're paying for a fish that will end up on CL or MFK.
