How much is this fish worth?
If I was to price him - I'd put him at $3,000 - $3,500. That's a red ingot...decent but not yet high quality in my book. Real nice fish though either way.

Yes they do...mammon are huge full size body fish(reaching up to 10"+). Ingot are compact and smaller.
No one truly knows how they are done other than that they are a highly bred Ren Mien...which is another highly bred Midas/Devil with who knows what.

Ren Mien is just a made up name for line bred A. citrinellus, and/or possibly even A. citrinellus x A. labiatus. Notihing that one can't find in a million tanks across NA.
As far as the difference between Ingots & Mammons ........

Ingots may or may not develop a large nuchal hump, Mammons should always have a large nuchal hump. As Big One stated, $500 is pretty much entry level price, expect to pay $1,000 or more for a decent quality specimen, and a LOT more for most of the high quality examples that one sees online.
