I am trying to vision your idea, its sounds like a really good idea, but what pipe would you be connection for it to run outside. Any pictures of this, i like the idea though..

It's just a standard threaded 1" bulkhead - on the outside of the sump is a barbed insert adapter I picked up from home depot and reduced it to 5/8" with clear tubing and hose clamp. The tubing goes into the wall, through my crawlspace into the backyard.

On the inside is one of these:

so if I point it straight up the water line would be at max height, but if I turn it down a little it can lower the water line. Mainly I did this because this is my first
experience with a sump and wasn't sure where I wanted the waterline. This gives me close to 2" of adjustment for the waterline.

If this isn't clear I can snap a pic when I get home tonight...

Today was a good day, started the plumbing and its starting to look good. I still have the cannister, UV , drip system and some serious tweaking to get the noise and leveled reduce. I will watch the sumps tonight make sure things are good to go and start the cycling process tomorrow. Excuse the mess

Looking really good! You sure did a lot today!

Thank you!
Yeah, I got a little excited today and decided to at least start the sumps running so i can get the cycling process. Plus I plan on trynig a product called turbo 700 to see if it can get the tanked cycled much quicker. The company swear it will take 3 days to a weeks tops. We shall see.
I need to get some drift wood and rock of some sort as well.

Having sleepless night? I'm with you brother, excited to see the outcome too.

yep, didn't get to sleep until around 1am, and had to be up for 5:30 to workout and get to work. At some point today during working hours my body is going to crash and burn out, well at least until I get home and start on the tank agian.
