You should be fine. I also live in the snow in the winter...right now there is snow on the ground and the temps are in the teens. As long as you have a skilled shipper and are home to recieve your fish you'll be fine. But you better do your research before you decide to get some small juvie cichla...there is a lot of care if you want to raise them correctly.

Thanks for the heads up! I always worry about my styro box going across the Tarmack on a trailer in the dead of Winter, with 30mph winds. As far as raising......I have a dozen spawns under my belt...I hear ya!!
