Not as badly as before...they seem to swap places guarding the fry so it all seems to be good now.

how do you get yours to turn that black color? mine is about 3 1/2 inches and he turns a yellowish color (white sand) and sometimes will turn a light brown, is it with age?

I believe the bigger they get, the darker they get. My 6" JD is pretty dark...also depends if its a male or female

They are pretty shy, but they are guarding fry and not wanting to leave the area the fry are in. Hopefully their shyness will continue to wear off the longer I have them.
