IN YOUR HEAD
now in case anyone is going to get twisted panties this is a GROW OUT. i am going to be splitting up the stock as soon as i finish selling the bowfins i have for sale. then the gar, bichirs and bowfins will be in my 120gal ancient set up. i got the aros back in may at a few inches.

the larger aros are over 16" long. measured one of my arm after it bailed out during some tank maintenance. it was the one with the deformed tail.

Very nice Scott, how are the gars with the aros?

thanks steve, they are fine with the gar. once silver aros get passed the aggessive stage at around 14" witch these i have now are not even acting out the aggression on anything but themselves, they are fine. when i first put them in there the older gars will nip the tails just like they do to everything and then there fine. my smallest aro when it was around 8" got hit pretty bad by my 18" shortnose, but it was just once and i took the risk to leave them all in there with the gars and it healed up perfect. this group of gars have been with 12 or more different aros and no problems. the aro feed more aggressively then the gar do, but naturally the gar hold back till the frenzy is over then come over to feed. they also go below the aro fenzy to feed on the food i drop that the aros can't get. i am going to separate my polys, bowfins, and gar just because i don't want my sa big cats to eat my polys. then i am thinking about getting a jar or lei for the tank they will be moved into.

Cool,thanks for the info buddy.
