I am thinking about buying one of these fish for my 90 gallon aquarium. I would like to get as much info on them as possible, i have had a hard time finding good info on them. If anyone has any experience with these please feel free to send some advice my way, as well as pictures if you have them. I would like to know things like temperment, requirements (ph etc.), foods, and anything else you can think of. Thanks for looking!

They are very active, fast moving and become more aggressive as they grow, and they grow at a pretty decent rate. They are hunters but I got mine to take cut up shrimp and fish fillet.A dorado can reach a foot from a few inches within a year so a 90 would be a growout tank.

Works for me, as i want to upgrade my tank already anyways, and i just bought it two weeks ago!
I think this may be the fish i have been looking for, been trying to find some really aggressive kinds of fish.

Do you know if they are a hardy fish or not? If i get one it will be about 7-8'' and it will be about $125 including shipping. Does that sound like a good price? its from tangledupincichlids.com

It's a tremendous fish and it completely ruled my tank when I had one.It would even snatch food out of other fishes mouths if they happened to get it first but not get it down quick enough.I've been thinking about getting another but the ones that are available are a bit more than what I paid for mine, although these are bigger.

What did you pay for yours if you dont mind me asking, and when did you have that fish as prices may have changed over time, or because of the amazing, thriving economy we have here in the US of A now.

The higher priced dorado that I mentioned in my post are the same ones you are contemplating lol...I got mine fro TUIC also but at the time I got mine they were about three inches and cost me thirty five bucks each, the bigger they are the more they will cost...I had them about three years ago.
