PETA sue Seaworld for enslave the whales...

So follow your logic, we shouldn't keep ANY MONSTER fish or whenever. We kept monster fish for our selfish entertainment too....even these threatened/endangered species. Clearly these whales are thriving and BREEDING in capitivity and even willfully to entertaining us. Where's the animal cruelty in whale-keeping?

This is old so you might not see it, but I just saw this and I cant believe it... how can you compare say, a Catfish, to a cetacean. Cetaceans are far more intelligent and more importantly, they're oceanic roamers. While fish man frequent the same hole or reef or log or WHATEVER for weeks on end, cetaceans are always moving, and may travel a few miles a day. I dont think ANY oceanic roamers should be in captivity... large Mackerel, Billfish, large oceanic Sharks... because there isnt an enclosure big enough to replicate their natural habitat.

Of course they are terrorists, no joke.
Dude, I've fought real terrorists. I don't see peta laying IED's. I don't see peta cutting off people's heads. I haven't seen the first car bomb designed by peta. I don't see peta giving little kids a grenade, pulling the pin, and telling them to go give it to the Americans. Nope. In my opinion peta is not a terrorist group. ELF might be considered to be a terrorist group but even at their height they were conscientious of not taking life. To call peta a terrorist group is in my opinion insulting to those of us that have seen real terrorism in action and just demonstrates how that word, terrorist, is as over used as the word communist was back during McCarthyism.

You know. Why do you eat meat? do you have a reason? Don't say 'its tasty' and don't say 'protein'. Those are not valid reasons.

And no, it's not the same. Foxes and lions hunt their prey. But the prey gets to live it's life in the wild, as intended, before it goes down.

We keep foxes in tiny pens, where they go insane. THen we shove a rod into their rectums and make them bite a charged bar, which electrocutes them to death. Foxes don't trample rats.

Your argument is null and void. Watch the film and tell me then that it's okay. If it's okay to do it to cows, why not dogs?

There's a scene in the film from turkey where dogs are a pest, where they find a dog in the road. They throw the dog into a garbage truck and the dog is smiling and waging his tail up until you can't see him anymore because the compactor is crushing him.

You are ignorant if you will tell me i'm wrong but not really look at my side.

Of course protein and pleasure are valid reasons...Same with Chimps who relish meat. Take a look at your mouth...why are canines there? Or perhaps you are built "special" ;) or perhaps you don't believe in Darwin after all :grinno:

As for dogs, well, in some cultures, people eat them. I don't see anything wrong with that.

The problem with your arguement is that it is an opinion. There are studies out their for both sides (i.e. pro-meat vs vegitarian, and vice versa). It is a personal choice. You could tell me a million reasons why I should not eat meat and I still will, its in my nature. Do I agree animals should be tortured...no? Do I think this happens everywhere....no I do not. I do not attack anyones choice for what they eat so whatever your choice is I respect that though I might not agree with it. So please respect the choices of others.

FYI...I grew up on a cattle ranch where I witnessed the proper way to butcher many animals (cow, sheep, hogs, chickens). So i knew where our food came from.

"The lawsuit asks the court to order the orcas released to the custody of a legal guardian who would find a "suitable habitat" for them."

lol.... a legal guardian? who is gonna take whales as a guardian? besides, say... seaword, who they are suing. who would even take care of whales as much as sea world does? spend countless hours with them. Peta is nuts. man, i swear every time i hear about Peta, it gets worse and worse... yea we get it animal rights and all, but come on, now they are just getting annoying with the stupidest claims, not to mention not well thought out.

""By any definition, these orcas are slaves — kidnapped from their homes, kept confined, denied everything that's natural to them and forced to perform tricks for SeaWorld's profit," said Kerr. "The males have their sperm collected, the females are artificially inseminated and forced to bear young which are sometimes shipped away.""

well then, by any definition, all captive animals are slaves, according to petas statement... good to know, zoos, pet stores, hobbyists of all ages and yea, i guess even conservation programs are all a bunch of kidnapping slave owners because they keep animals. seriously, thats just ridiculous. peta just doesnt know when to draw the line, they need to mind their own business some times and stay out of it... -_-

Pita would probably kill the orca if they could its been soiled by our touch. Peta almost seems more against animals than people when you look into what they stand for.
