280g Plywood Tank Build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry to hear about that. How long has it been running and where is it leaking? I have a 120g ply/drylok tank running for 10 months now with no issues. Its a growout but I'm planning to keep it stocked just to see how long it will last. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this build.

the tank was only up for 2 days :P

I had just redone the inner seals but when it leaked you could see that the panes had moved because the joint seams where compromised. I'm either completely rebuilding the 265, so heavy or doing a deeper larger tank similar to this.

nice build! Where did you get the trickle filter from?

Awesome project. WOW!!! Great woodwork, overall workmanship and all the trimming details. Given our available resources on this little rock island of Guam, that is an awesome build. Damn...giving me inspiration to build a wooden aquarium too!!! LOL!!!

So what next, 500 or 1000+ plus gallons....LOL!!!

Thanks. Its nice to hear from a fellow rock islander. What's next? I don't know yet...this tank should give me a couple of years before I need to upgrade again. Those figures that you mentioned...very tempting! Lol!

You have some mad woodworking skills. The trim work is outstanding and I love the contrasting colors on the molding surrounding the glass. Incredible job. Congratulations on a job very well done.

Which liquid rubber brand did you use? How much did you order and what was the cost and shipping?
