New Guinea Tigerfish Datnioides campbelli need info

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I agree....I had a couple together and had to seperate them. Only 1 ngt per tank.

They are quiet rare tho and pretty decent sized so hmm.. could be worth a shot maybe to see how they get along.

Freshwater works. You can try three but be prepared to separate them if neccessary.

make sure you get/have other tanks ready. My two ngt's were semi okay(little bullying), for about 2 weeks. Then the big guy really started putting the hurt on the little guy..wouldnt leave him alone. Seperated now. But I also really love these dats. They were my first dats and they have such a personality. Like little dolphins doin under water tricks for ya...beggin for more food.

You can try to mix the NGT's in one tank but be prepared to move them as they get bigger, you will usually have trouble with conspecific aggression when they start hitting around 8" in length. You might get lucky and not have to much trouble but it's always better to be prepared to separate them if needed.

i have 8x different sizes ITs and 1x 10" NGT, im planning to add 1 more 5-6" NGT, is it possible? thanks for the reply guys.
