well, good thing those lower level teams wont' be in the playoff distracting the ravens, lol.

Haha, hat's actually what they said on ESPN the other day.

Alot of good teams get caught napping or have a difficult time getting it in gear in a short week if they just played a monday night game. Green bay was a great example though, they got stomped throughout the season, had to have a bunch of teams lose to make the playoff and then went on a tear and have now won 17 straight games.

Ya, that's true.

Again the same can be said for last years Greenbay packers. They lost to the Redskins, and Lions at 6-10 and the Dolphins at 7-9 Really means nothing as you can see they one the Superbowl.

How many of these "lesser" teams do you think the Ravens will face in the playoffs. Would they be more of a real team if they would have beat the jags and hawks yet lost to the Steelers and Texans? They would definitely be in a worse position for the playoff, wouldn't they?

This Packers comparison really doesn't cut it. They weren't expected to be as successful as they were this past season and were more of a surprise if anything; they played at the same level for pretty much every game. Now look at the Ravens this season, they were predicted to do great and easily defeat most, if not all, of their opponents yet they flounder when facing teams that are viewed by the experts to be lesser teams (just look at the stats). Sure, a win is a win, but when a team isn't playing at its fullest for pretty much every game kind of says something. Yes, they'd be in a worse position for the playoffs, but what does that have to do with the trend that I'm talking about? My point is that they have this glaring tendency to lose to lesser teams yet shine against teams at the same or greater level.

what matters is winning. The pack had injuries last year and dropped games. They were healthy enough at the end,and made the playoffs.People forget, there's not much difference between winning and losing in the NFL.Losing games to inferior teams is a concept that overrides the any given sunday theory. What counts is how good the team was that day.1 more injury is often all it takes to make a champion a loser.

Running is conceptually less risky. That is why the Eagles are running more. With more talent they figure they could run and still win and have a healthy qb.So much for that theory.Once again,we see trends develop based on the latest rule changes, and desires for more scoring. You will see teams go against the trends which they know others are preparing for.the teams with non superstar qbs,for example or teams with superstar running backs.looks like talent evaluators and game planners are hard to come by in a league of copycats.the talent poor fins thought welker wasn't too good.the titans and everyone else overlooked the best RB in the draft(Blount).Who said draft Tom Brady?A lot of the experts thought Tebow couldn't even play, much less w/a college system, and a lot of fools quickly jumped on this ship, but they were wrong again and continue to preach. What else will they be wrong about? The next great qb?heard that one already!

Again talking out your ??? The fins didn't think Welker was any good? Yet they were able to get a 2nd round draft choice for a undrafted free agent that had caught 80 passes in three years for them :duh:

I just love when people pull up a couple of exceptions and try to push them off as the norm :wall:

Are you kidding? They were 11-5 the season before with Rogers showing he was a competent NFL starter. They were expected to compete with the Vikings for a divisional Championship.

I know what your point is and it is invalid. To consider a team as not a real team because of who they lost to is just silly. I mean really how real are the teams that lost to the ravens? If the ravens arent a "real" team?

"Again talking out your ??? The fins didn't think Welker was any good? Yet they were able to get a 2nd round draft choice for a undrafted free agent that had caught 80 passes in three years for them "
....but he was good enough of a player to warrant a first round pick, which the sorry fins never even realised, because they dont utilize their talent. The Pats knew what they had though, and took him.dont be such a homer every time someone mentions your sorry fins

BS. you really believe any one any where is going to give up a first round pick for a three year vet that has caught 80 balls :duh: People questioned the second round pick the Pats gave up. Yet in your wisdom you think he was worth a Number one because you knew what he was going to do, right? Do you drink heavily before posting? your logic is incredibly flawed:screwy:

Maybe if your weren't so drunk you could figure out how to use the "quote" function provided.

bellichik seen the way welker played. Tried to acquire him and found out he could. dolphins knew he was pretty good, especially since bill was asking about him. Im sure the fins thought they burned the pats in this trade at first. Why else trade to a team in your div? Fins owner is nutty anyway but thats besides the point
