They may have only been 4", but based on a google image search they are definitely adult bolivians and not biotodoma. Perhaps a hybrid? I'll have to get a pic the next time I'm in the store.

I think Rams are the perfect choice, I would get some if they didn't stay so small.

Way to big for a 90 gallon.My pearsei is 2 and a half years old and is 14 inches long and about 3-4inches thick and dominates my tank.

I'm sure that an Oscar or a Severum for that matter would be able to eat a large school of neon tetra in a few days. Discus would be cool though.

I would do a pair of rainbow cichilds they don't get as big as a severum...

Male firemouths have red on their throats while females don't. I would go with a red severum, just because you have a higher chance of a "Nicer" severum than a firemouth.

Firemouth can't be sexed unless you vent.



And they are aggressive, can be quite the bullies actually so I wouldn't recommend one for a "peaceful" tank.
