Awesome Video - VW Bug Towing a Fifth Wheel Travel Trailer

We have a 1973 Bug Convertible sitting in my parent's barn. I just need to install some sort of roll-bar to mount the hitch to and I'm good-to-go!

That is great, i want one !! I think your idea just might work, if you did a roll cage and them mounted the hitch to that i think you'd be good to go.. Atleast it would be better than what they had in the video..lol Looks liek it's time to raid your parents barn for that bug..

I think the hardest part will be building the trailer, it would have to be super-lightweight.

Found these on the samba, I like the idea of the hitch on the back better than on the drip rails. That would be a lot of braking force put on the rails with that style trailer.

Theres a thread on the samba about someone who built his own mini tear drop trailer somewhere aswell.
