well decided to start a thread about raising them and thing i have or will learn along the way. In Maine where I live tanks over 200 gallons are unheard of. Let alone the thousands of gallons it takes to raise a red tail or a tiger shovel nose. I hope to log what i learn along the way here and do video logs on youtube as i go.

More to come as the tiger and redtail get bigger I will be setting up a temp intraq pool and record that along with cost for everyone and do a walk around on the area that will house the final tank

nice rtc and tsn:)

Cool tanks and fish. The unknown white fish looks to be a pink convict. The random cichlid is an african cichlid, but I can't tell which because of the lighting

nice fish and that unknown one looks like an alibino convict

Actually the unknown has been figured out its an almost pure white flowerhorn. That might explain why at one third the size it has been able to keep the TSN in check.

Well, I still think its a pink convict. The shape of the head is nothing like that of a flowerhorn IMO.

Here's a pic of a pink convict off the web that looks exactly like yours,

Pink convicts are also called white convicts.
