I have some plastic plants in one of my tanks, instead of scrubbing algae off manually does anybody has any tips for getting algae off of fake plants? Also I don't like real plants so lets not bother getting into a discussion about going down that road, i just wanna know if there is an easier way to clean fake ones :)

I use hot water and bleach. Fill the kitchen sink, throw the plants in add half cup of bleach and let em soak while I do the water change. Rinse, let dry, rinse again with some declorinator and you're good to go.

I never used plastic plants, but I'm thinking you could bleech them and then rinse well. However I do have lots of different decorations like stones, shells, corals etc and what I do when they get too much algae on them is just leave them on the bacony and the sun does the rest. Of course I have other deco to put in the tank while the algae covered ones sun tan :D

I used soak them in hot water for 30 minutes and spray them off. What didn't come off right away was killed in the soak and fell off within another day.
