Meh - I told people the cheifs were scary. That is a better team than what it looks. In addition Crennel (IMO) is a far superior coach to todd haley - who was disorganized at best and I think was negatively effecting the team.
I like Kyle Orton - and he is probably the best qb in the league not to find a home. That being said - I found nothing impressive with his passing attack. He is a decent passer - but that is only once this run game is established. Kyle went 3-3 the first time he played the packers - because he HAD to throw the ball. See how things change when all he has to do is dip and dunk? Hell, even Joe Flacco could do that.
Crennel should be recognized as one of the great denfensive minds of this era - unfortuntaely due to some poor headcoaching he isnt going to get it. His game plan was good, and easy to execute. All he needed to do was get that first FG and stay ahead of the pack. Packers defense only works by forcing the opposition to become predictable, pass, and allow their over persuing athletes to make plays. Too aggresive - and gap responsibility killed them with a heavy dose of the run. The part of me that coaches was being killed watching these guys get caught up in the wash on runs to the outside. Kinda a pathetic outing. Rogers had the worst day of the year - looked bad. Didnt help that there were multiple bs calls on Nelson, and that J Mike's dropsies continued. Oh well.
As my FB status says - Good for Romeo.
Anyone who thinks that performances are based only on your fourth quarter - really need to take a step back, have themselves a deep breath, and watch Teblow. Its not pretty. Nor is it true or realistic to say that he is playing well.
