Who wants to trade natives?

I have a ~10" smallmouth bass available at this time. I just got it out of my pond today, so I'll need to acclimate it to an aquarium and the increased water temperature first before shipping it to someone. This bass was born and raised in my big pond, and it has the potential to get pretty big because its parents were all 20" long or longer with some exceeding 24" at the time it was spawned. I know that it's one of their offspring for sure because I only add smallmouth bass if they're over ~18", and the original ones were all over ~18", too.

I'm waiting on the smallmouth bass to adjust to its new home; the whole clear sides and clear water thing is new to him, so he's pretty freaked out despite me matching the water parameters and temperature while giving him some cover.

I can also still get small sunfish in the 0.5" to 2" long range with most being around 1" long.

Please let me know if you guys want me to catch anything else out of the pond before it gets cold again, and it freezes over for the winter.

What sunfish do you have available Wiggles?

I believe that they're bluegills, but I'm not 100% on that. I do know that they're not green sunfish, though. The little sunfish kind of appeared in the pond one day a couple of years ago; no one ever introduced any adults, and I have not caught any full-size adults either. I have a bigger one (~3") in my goldfish pond that I'll fish out tonight or tomorrow to get an exact ID on these guys.

Regardless of what species they are, they adjust to captive life pretty readily and can easily be transitioned from frozen bloodworms to pellets in no time at all. The bigger one that's in my goldfish pond was able to be hand fed and pet while he was in an aquarium before I put him in the pond.

Do you ship your natives? PM me if you can please.

The smallmouth bass seems to have settled in pretty well. It will now come up to the glass when I walk by his aquarium, but it will back away if I get too close to the aquarium. It must have been hungry because it has already eaten two 3" minnows and two 1.5" sunfish despite having been brought up to room temperature not that long ago.

I don't have any pictures of the sunfish; I was unable to catch the large one that's in my goldfish pond. However, I'm certain now that they are bluegill based on the pattern and coloration of the little ones that the bass ate.

Neat thread - just found it!
PM me if you have any of the following:

Gar, other than Longnose
Bullheads
Other types of cool cats
Carp - any kind
Mariae Tilapia (For those in Florida)

Small sizes only, please. Thanks!

Im changing my tanks at the moment and shutting down my current native set up. Anyone want (2) ~4" lg. mouth bass? also a 10" chain pickerel. Take them for a good home if you want to get them in Maine
