stocking in 37 gallon tank question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well i won't risk putting it in the 125 gallon LOL so i geus it will live in the 37 gallon

It is only a temporary set up, I know people on here have seen people take a very large cichlid and shove them in a 30 gallon tank.In about 6 months or so, I am going to put the EBJD into a 60 gallon or above.

True, but larger is better, I am thinking of selling the 125 gallon for a 240 gallon tank LOL
240!!!! my biggest tank is 75 gallons and i have been in the hobby for over a year well i would have bigger tanks if my parents did not limit me

these are my tanks

1x30 gal community
1x65 gallon with 1 Pearsei cichlid
1x75 gallon tank with 1x 14 in Oscar and 1x12 in Pleco
i am getting a 40 gallon or more tank for Christmas for my Asian upside down catfish

change to smaller option like convict or firemouth

I have been into the hobby since I was a kid, but I never owned a fish tank at all until almost 2 years ago.It was my father who had a 80 gallon set up with community fishes where I have learned the basics of taking care of fishes, but to me cichlids are not beginner fishes in my opinion if people don't take the hobby serious enough.

oh i did t read the hole thread

I can understand your point, but this is only a temporary set up, its not like I am putting a Midas inside the 37 gallon. The growth rate of a EBJD is much slower than a Midas. Also you just mentioned a firemouth that I already have.

I am not calling you a beginer or a person who knows nothing about fish i am just surprised well if i was an adult i would probably have a 240 gallon tank in the first year of owni9ng fish i worded that wrong i take this hobby very seriously and i love fish i do my best learning about fish and researching them and most importantly maintaining them and having TONS of fun
