It´s used to track genetic modifications. Such cows glow under uv-light. I can show you one example with cats. I think you can see which cat has jellyfish genes.

The cats had their DNA modified with a gene from a fluorescent jellyfish that makes their bodies shine green under uv light.

Yes there are endli x ornate hybrids. I pretty much own the most variety of hybrid bichirs in this forum. From sene x endli, congi x endli, lap x endli, lap x pbb, ansorgii x endli, sene x polli, pbb x lap. Check my older threads.
Their are many ways for bichirs to hybridize and this usually happens in farms. One is by injecting them with hormones. Another method is by forcing to squeeze the female eegs and the male's semen and mix them in the bowl. Also some are accidental in a mix species tank.
