Just got two relatively large Freddies, larger one is pushing 7 inches and smaller is around 4. Any particular traits that could help me figure out which is what? They're hiding at the moment and I can't get a clear picture shot.

Males will have lots 9f dark spotting in the fins and on the gull plate while the females wont really have much on fins or gill plate. Also females tend to be a bit more of an intense yellow and males will be a bit towards tannish yellow in coloration
No. Thats a pair from someone on another forum. Heres my old pair from 2005 or maybe a little earlier. Male ended up killing the female.
I know for sure the 4 incher is female, she's got no dark spots or anything and is a much brighter yellow. If I can grab a few pictures after they calm down, maybe that could help.
