Hand-feeding leopoldi and histrix

I don't want to judge anyone, but I personally wouldn't hand-feed my rays like that. All it would take is someone closing a door hard or stomping on the floor to freak them out and one of them could freak out and accidentally or intentionally sting you. I don't think it is particularly likely that this would happen, but I think that there is a certain risk.

I handfeed my rays, but only the ones who will come all the way up to the top of the tank to grab the food. Of course that's not 100% risk free, but I feel a lot safer than submerging my hand all the way in the tank.

In any case, lovely rays. Hope you enjoy hand feeding if that is a risk you decide is reasonable to take.

I have no particular need to hand-feed them really.. i usually use a "plant tong" when feeding (or just through it in).
But i did it for fun that night. And luckily it went well :)

I guess I like to take risk as I reach all the way to the bottom and let them swim over my hand and take night crawlers right out of my palm. Whats life without risk? Sterile and Boring.......
