12302011645.jpg12302011642.jpgi am using life guard witch treats. Ich,bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic desises. he slammed into the side of the fish tank and flattened his nose. yesterday i cleaned his fish tank. I have a 14 inch Oscar in there too it is a 75 gallon tank. I got it from cregslist and it came with the catfish and Oscar. The Oscar is doing fine and the Oscar never misses a meal. but the pleco does not eat.

His nose looks a little better now. I think it is just an open red sore actually. What do you think?

You asked for pics. I gave you pics. Please reply!!!! his face is a little less bloody looking witch is a good sigh....

do some water changes for a while, keep good clean water in there and it should heal up faster. possibly use melafix? i used to use it for fin rot in my early days then started just doing water changes.

I would bump the temp up a little, add some salt if you are feeling frisky. He should heal up just fine if water is kept clean. As far as him not eating, what are you feeding him?

He died i think he died of starvation or a bacterial infection. My 7 inch pearsei died this week too. I tried my best i did everything possible to help but he died!!!!:shocked::wall::rip

You definitely have a water parameter or quality issue going on then. test for nitrates, pH, nitrites, and ammonia.
