legit afc steelers ravens patriots, legit nfc pack and saints

I'd say that there are five "legit" teams per conference as of now (could be cut back further, though): AFC-- Patriots, Ravens, Steelers, Texans, Bengals; NFC-- Packers, 49ers, Saints, Lions, Falcons. Pretty much if a team can make the playoffs with a respectable win/loss ratio and/or have a respectable win/loss ratio, then they're "legit" in my eyes.

In addition to that, each conference has a "meh" division, namely the AFC West and NFC East, and then the "good" divisions all have one reasonably terrible team with five wins or less. As for AFC vs. NFC, the NFC has an edge by being up two games over the AFC; odds are that would be very different had the Colts been a "legit" team this year like they usually are.

Even if Dallas makes it to the playoffs next week, I see them as an underdog against most of the other teams

It's not like there's going to be a shortage of QBs available that are worthy of being drafted in the first round, so the Dolphins could easily go that direction if need be. They're predicted to take Baylor's Robert Griffin III (QB) in the draft, so that could be a good sign since he won the Heisman Trophy after all. It's also somewhat possible that they could get Luck should the Colt's choose to not draft him in favor of someone else; none of the other teams that pick ahead of them have a real need for a QB at this point in time.

I'd say that the Dolphins should take a QB in the first round but keep him on the bench for the first season in order to learn from Moore; they really need to get someone for their future franchise QB rather than the fillers that they've had in the past. They seem pretty set at RB with Bush and Thomas, so they could easily roll with them but also pick up another later in the draft. The offensive line could be worked on as well early on in the draft, too.

Meh. Someone can win the heisman and still be a piece in the NFL. I dont think this is a "strong" qb draft. So much of the NFL is hype. Sometimes the hype pans out, or is wrong...but...very few drafts have multiple QB's that even stick around.

Playoffs will determine who is legit. Im predicting a ravens loss and a steelers win to finish off the season though. Ravens cant play on the road either. We will just have to see. AFC North is the one division where I cant pick one favorite team.

The texans arent legit. I was impressed by their finding ways to win - but they lost to the colts. Who now stand as one of the worst football teams in NFL history. Ill go back to my previous point that all teams are fairly equally matched - physically almost identicle - but the minute differences do make a difference. I just havent seen the texans win convincingly. Some weeks the bengals come close to playing complete football. But its hard these days to win if your QB isnt lights out.

Look at AFC matchups against NFC "weak" teams. They havent been pretty. Steelers took care of business in St Louis - but NFC West teams have scared more than one AFC team this year.

Convincing win today. I think the lions are a good team - a team that could make a run in the playoffs. That being said the packers did well with at least 3 defensive starters on the bench and about 7 offensive contributors on the sideline as well.

Wonderful day watching footaball. Got to see a double header of quarterback suck. First Moore vs Sanchez folllowed up with Tebow vs. Orton. Very painful day. Somebody was saying that Matt Flynn is a free agent, if so he just made himself a bigger contract this off season.

Cowboys are minutes away from losing. Either way...I didn't give either team(giants) long in the playoffs

He was pretty hyped, and I think he woulda done decently. Now I think he has put himself in the 20-30 mil range easy.

Rogers was a fairly good sport about it - seeing as how if that had been him he would have broken a couple NFL records. Glad to see some class like that.

Alright, it's time for some playoffs! Call it skill or luck or whatever, I'm pretty impressed that three teams from the AFC North made the playoffs.

What are you guys thinking for the playoff outlook? For the Wild Card round, I'm going with Bengals over Texans & Steelers over Broncos for the AFC, and Saints over Lions & Falcons over Giants.

He's certainly worth getting a bigger contract, but he could probably do even better money-wise elsewhere if you consider how many teams are in need of a starter-worthy QB. I bet that it's going to be a tough call for the Packers on him: Will they give him a bigger contract to keep him as their backup QB, or will they lose him to the highest bidder?

Flynn won't be with the pack if he is a free agent. He'll get starter money from someone.
