Gravel and rays dont really mix. Its hard on their disk and also does not give them sucurity to hide. Sand is best in my opinion if you are wanting a substrate in the tank.

Thax I will swap it out asap! Also trying to get the smaller two off of ghost shrimp. My larger one eats worms small shrimp and fish. IDK about these youths they only seem to get excited about ghost shrimp. I have offered baby nnight crawlers red wigglers and small river shrimp and blood worms. My next step is to order sum black worms and try those with the ghost shrimp. Any ideas????

Well starve them for a few days. Then maybe try market shrimp or what i have had better luck with is tilapia (frozen bags from walmart). Can get it in 2lb bags or 4lb bags. Id get a 2lbs bag first adn see if you can get them to eat it. Starve them for a few days, maybe even three and then cut your tilapia in small pieces (bit size to start). See if you can get them on that. Will help with costs.
Blackworms are great, but can get costly. I used canadian night crawlers and it worked well also (they are smaller than earth worms) (cut in half if you have to) but that also can get costly.
Other ways is to get a small tank and buy some guppies. Put in some plants and after awhile, they will breed like crazy. Good way to raise live healthy feeders for the rays to play, chase and eat from time to time.

Thax again 144!!!! All great ideas. I will try. Because these ghost shrimp are gettin old real fast.

Nice retics I don't see any spots on the other ray might be a orbignyi.

Hey you may also look at the thread of doing a DIY ray food, my ray wouldn't eat pellets but he loves the food i made
