As some of you may remember my 60Gal tank has been going through a steady transformation since I got it. The most recent transformation was a healthy soup of green water lol. I felt like an idiot when I realized what I'd done. Here I was posting away trying to find out why I couldn't see into my tank, and the answer was right in front of me. As it turns out the answer was really simple...I changed out the gravel for sand. The emptying of the tank, and the scrub down I gave it reset my cycle. I quietly pushed the problem aside hoping my wife wouldn't ask me the question that would bring my shame into the open. Well that finally went away, and I only have a few small scars on my pride because of it. Below are pictures of right after I swapped out the gravel, when the murk struck, and the last picture is how it is now, I would like your' input on the tank as I feel the need to impress my unknown internet fish enthusiast friends. So please give me ego a boost and share with me your' opinions. :grinno:

Looks pretty cool with all the driftwood.

What all is in there? I see an African brown knife, a rope fish, a bala shark, and a Ctenopoma, but I'm not sure if I missed anything.

Bingo! You've got some good eyes that ctenopoma blends in pretty well. In addition to those named I have another ABK, a Senegal Bichir, a Sailfin Pleco, and a Featherfin Synodontis.

Looks great. I cant leave my scape alone for longer than a couple weeks. It looks great to those who dont see it every day!

That's exactly my problem, which is one of the reasons I'm craving feedback. I'm hoping outside opinions will convince me to stop meddling. I'm sure my fish want me to, and I know my wife does.

Picture 1= my fav
...oh lord, now I'm back on the fence again lol.

I think it's the fact we see our tanks everyday that we get bored with the way they look. Every time someone comes over and sees my tank they all say how cool it looks. But I say , "eh, it could be better"

I say the same thing....I see so many beautiful tanks, and I want mine to be on the same level. I'm my worst critic though.

haha I cant help but like number 1 lol, im a native fish enthusiast so natural i like what i find most native looking.

I'm with ya there brother, I pulled out all the plants cause before I realized my cycle was messed up I thought my plants may be "melting"
