I have a 17" African Aro and I was thinking about buying a 5" black Aro to put in the same tank. Would the Afro kill the other Aro? Or can Afro Arowanas be compatible with other Aros? The one I have is really peaceful to other fish and doesn't chase fish that are much smaller than him.

African aros are pretty docile, with the exception towards their own. I've seen people mix aros together, But my advice is, just keep an eye on them for a bit when you put the blue aro in the tank. Just to be safe. :)

my silver aro and afro get along fine they are around the same size as well the silver starts the fights usually and besides afros dont usually eat other fish so you should be fine

If you want to comm, the other aro should be about same size with your african aro.
