What's a Fair Price for a 16" BLIND ST?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you all know my opinionsa on this why buy a defective fish just because its a ST just wait if you want one bad save your money and pay more for one thats right and not blind

how would you feel if you buy this blind fish for $400 and then small ones come back for sale for $300

whats the big deal nice 3 bar IT or ST they can both look as nice and to anyone apart from people on this or other sites who cares

I have seen plenty of one eyed dats in the past few months and I have even seen a nearly blind ST with bulging white eyes and I can't help but wonder how does a person allow such a thing to happen to them.

ALL tigers have big eyes that can get damaged if fights or on decor this is another reason i dont have decor

tigers fight a lot with aros which is one of the main reasons people sell

tigers also get damaged eyes in transit from bumping or nitrite burns when people dont stop feeding 3-4 days before shipping as tigers produce a lot of waste

This along the lines of what I was thinking....poor water.I was horrified when I saw close up and in person a nice big ST with white marbles for eyes.

I myself would never buy a fish with something wrong that couldn't be healed. I could never figure why people pay anything for fish that are blind in an eye or have some kind of deformity.:duh: A person can always find a healthy fish if they just keep looking. I will either keep or give away my fish if something happens to it but I would never try to sell something that was deformed in some way.

....Even if someone were willing to pay you good coin for it while knowing it's condition?

Giving the fact that there is 1K or more difference between a (partially) blind and a healthy one I can see a market out there for people that want one really bad but can't/won't pay what it takes. Personally, in that situation I would buy a healthy CT/VT (or whatever you want to call them).

So I'm just wondering, about the supposed CT/VT, where are people getting these when they do? I saw Vietdragon has a fairly young one, are these something I'd have to contact a vendor about? Also what's the price range for them, are we talking ST $,$$$ or is it less because it's not the "real Mccoy"?
