lol No actually lighting is the one thing I haven't spent a lot of money on yet. The center light is a Hagen Glo dual T5HO (48") with powerglo and marineglo bulbs and the other strips are aqueon standard fluorescent fixtures, all with aqueon colormax bulbs that you can find in any Petsmart or petco. Lighting on this tank, although elaborate in setup and programming, really didn't cost much at all.

Really nice tank. I like the night lighting. Off subject the wood floor looks alot better then white carpet lol.
Thanks! I've always hated that carpet too, although our yellow lab/mix makes it almost impossible to keep clean now lol. If we don't keep her shaved we get a few piles of dog hair right up against the tank just about every day
Thank you! I see lots of potential with the argentea especially. Now, if I can figure out how to keep the other fish from killing them, I'll be good. Sometimes, I feel like more of a referee or line judge than a fish keeper lol

Argentea is in and the Managuense is out. It worked for about 4 days and the jag snapped and attacked everything in the tank and tried to attack a few folks and dogs in the house lol. detailed in another thread.
I did rescape the tank before the fish went in though. Didn't really put much thought into it as I've been digging on the random throw and go approach. Fish really seem to like the new setup better and it definitely helped with the introduction of the argentea.
Fins are a bit shredded from the siege of the jag, but everyone's much happier without her in there.
I'm going to had to get back to work on the controller though. We changed over our home network to a new one and the controller isn't communicating with it right now, so all editing is being done from the tank itself via the control screen. Kinda nice to have several options. As soon as I get the new static ip address in, I should be good.

Wow, one of the best tanks I've seen. Great Job! It has definetly influenced my next tank build. Are the plants real?
Thanks a lot! No the plants are plastic because one of my plecos is a vegetarian/wood eater and decimates live ones as do my silver dollars. Plastic all the way. I really would love to have some live ones though....
