...or the albino-that-wasn't ;) Found this little guy yesterday and decided to make a thread to keep tabs on his growth and color changes, right now he's in a *very* temporary 10g that I just have a bunch of spare plants in..and you can see he's really tiny right now but if my other oscar is any indication he should outgrow this tank in only a few weeks (not even! haha).

Just finished feasting on some hikari cichlid gold, trying some shrimp and fish fillets tomorrow. My other oscar is really picky because he didn't have enough variety when young. :(

Very nice! Ive seen some that completely lose the black coloration, so it should be interesting to see what comes about with yours. Very cool pattern, cant wait to see how it turns out.

Got some updated pix today because he's colored up and is acting like an oscar again....aka begging for food and making it REALLY hard to get decent pictures ! Jumped 2 inches out of the water already today, way more crazy than my other was at this size.

What a nice Oscar, I had never seen a Lutino with yellow markings instead of orange/red. It looks unique for sure, I hope it keeps that yellow til adulthood. Good luck with him!

I swear baby oscars are probably the most fun cichlid to own. as someone who has owned and bred them before I can tell you they are a very rewarding fish, you will love him even more as he grows

Thanks! I'm not sure about him keeping the yellow (there's like a few orange scales mixed in) but it'd be cool if he does.

Oscars are probably my favorite (and first) 'monster fish'.

It'd be nice if I had a pair but I would need to build a POOL or something to grow out all the babies !

Stacy I never heard of a Lutino oscar but I am impressed.

Little guy looks great and I'll be tagging along to see how this one develops.
