That's exactly why I turned down my brother's offer to give me his 220 and took his 60 gallon glass and 80 gallon acrylic tanks instead. 220 gallon is alot of water on your floor if something happen.. Best thing you can do is make sure the seal is new and pray every night to the fish god

I always do a seal inspection when i clean my tanks to see if there are any weak spots. I had a tank break and caused 5grand worth of damage. I have a 150 in the garage waiting to be setup and i will inspect the seal many times before i set it up or may reseal it. If i am nervous about a large tank i wouldnt set it up. The big tanks are great but 150 isnt too big to me but i kinda like the idea of having 2-3 75 gallons tanks housing my favorite fish in each instead of tossing them in 1 rank where they can harm each other. If i had 3 75 gallons i would do my grammodes pair tank, la ceiba freddy pair tank, and red isletas solo or pair tank... In a 150 this wouldnt be possible even with 1 of each fish

I had a 150gallon reef leak in my living room lucky for me I caught it early. I have sense set up another building separate from my home and started a fish room. I have a 220 a 150 four 55s a 75 a 15 and five 10s. I decided it wasn't worth the risk of setting that much water up in my house. If I get a leak or a busted tank there It doesn't matter to much.

I'm purely speculating, but I have a hard time believing that 220g on your floor is that much worse than 80g on your floor. In any case, both would really, really suck.
