I've been reading all the suggestions about adding cooler water back into tanks after water changes so I tried it today. I just reintroduced this pair back together about 5 days ago. I took male out and left mother w/ fry because he turned on her one day. I took babies out a couple weeks later. You may notice they look a bit thin. They only got this way when I separated them for 3 weeks or so its like they missed each other! DEPRESSED FESTAE??? Within minutes they went after each other so I took divider out and she went straight for him and started their dance. Thanks fishman! I traded in a big lyonsi male today that would have fit in well in your 240. Is your lyonsi male or female?
Mine is male from what I can tell so far. Hes about 5.5"

On that pair female is wild caught about 6.5inches, male is belived to be F1 and he's pushing 10 inches. They haven't really colored back up yet, I just reintroduced them a few days ago, but they dug the tank out in a couple days and after that water change they seemed ready again. The male gets really golden and blue.
