Are these true red terrors or are they Mayans?

And also any opinions on if they are male or female? I got them from my LFS and they were marked as Red Terrors. I asked the fish dept. manager if they are true RTs or just Mayans. He replied that they are indeed true RTs, but I have my doubts. I'm sure my fellow MFKers can tell me the real deal lol. Thank you.

There is this misconception that mayans are not as good as festae. The coloring isn't as bright or pronounced as a female mated festae, but if kept properly they can become quite amazing. I have both large festaes and large mayans. They are equally awesome.
