HARRY'S STINGRAY FILTRATION ABOUT COMPLETE 80%!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wish i could see your pics from my wii....the quality is just too good and wont load them. Unless they are embedded....
SOunds pretty intense filtration wise. What else is harry stocking besides mm?

Drip should make it more consistant. There's no way to get away from WC's.

That's a lot of flow. At least there's substrate so the rays don't get pushed around by the current.... Pretty impressive amperage #s. Is that advertised amperage or an actual measurement? Got me wondering what mine use..... :(

What kind of GPH is he pushing throught he reactor? What kind of media? How much?

LTell Harry it looks really good!!!

Sorry for all the questions.... Kind of a filter geek here too. ;)

Here's the actually test data done by Inland Koi Club recently. Numbers to compare are the amperage and flow rate. You can actually use this data and compare it to what the manufacturer is actually advertising. You'll be surprised.

Not to steal Harry's thunder but Trev if you look across from the inlets on the reactor you can see a red handled ball valve which appears to be the outlet for the reactor

Looks like those are some super efficient pumps Ken! One of these days i'll have a garage and be able to upgrade :(

Is there any way you can embed some of the pics so I can drool too?

3000 gph is going thru the reactor Witch is actually going to increase to 6000 gph Harry is using the water flow instead of air pumps to create the Oxy bath for the media by holding the inputs up a few inchs it slams the media down with the force of the water and stuffs air bubbles into the media on it's way down spinning ..Harry's thought on not being able to exclude water changes completly is why not mechanicly filter the water to a good quality or great quality therefore no reason to drip fresh all the time and elimination of yet another step or maintenance of a drip system ...

i like the reactor, but i see 2 inputs how is the output setup?
One out put right now directly to a pump but thatt will be changed to two when the added 3000 gph is added to another 1.5 direct siphon to another pump...

im curious on the glass media
Polishes like CRAZY!!!!

Also Allen Harry has Huge 1.5 inch returns directly from the pump to Distribute the flow and not blow them around with a little jet it helps with not constricting flow also making it more efficient no loss of flow in theory!!!

Harry has been busy lately, very nice.

I was under the impression that reactors needed lower flowrates to allow more contact time with the media, making it more efficient. Or is this dependent on the kind of media? What kind of media is that?
