Darts with the AO motor migh be a little more but the Baldor ones are 1.4 amp max. .12 hp
I have a apir of the dolphins with the 1/15HP 1.3 amp motor. Very nice pumps as well. I believe the Dart did seem to flow more in my setup, but my dolphins are rated 600 gph less.
Just out of curiousity what do these sintered glass filters cost? Sounds like it sure would be ideal to know someone at this company. Great pumps and filters from the same place would be pretty sweet.
I'd be paranoid trusting my rays with that little bio. I use over a 5 gallon bucket of pot scrubbies, 5lbs of ceramic rings and 1/2 a cubic foot of Kaldness per ray.
Do all the pumps run all the time or is one of them just for backflushing?
telling ya Allen the Check the first page on the independent study By the Koi club you can look it up on the net i believe the reeflo uses more amps !!!Harry's Electric Bill is was very steady with the two lim pumps about $38 to $40 dollers more with two pumps running and now a third he is expecting another 18 to 20 dollers more I'm tellin ya it's the Impeller design how hard the moter works to reach the GPH ...Ya i think the darts are rated at 3600 gph not sure tho ... That is the problem with reeflo pumps there are like 100 dart variants all with different GPH and draws. I think mine is a 4300gph hybrid model but it is hard to even figure it out. I am sure if I called and gave them the numbers off it they could tell me but I am not that worried about it.
It can get very confusing trying to find the right pump with reeflo but they are well worth it I love my dart

OK Allen I talked to the Manufacturer about the Microns this was their answer"The glass filter is 33% better at polishing then a traditional sand filter the glass filter does not discriminate on the size of particle large or small it collects all!!! and finer then sand....
