Cheap Stand, No Wood Cutting?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a 29 in a big ol entertainment center's TV hole, it holds fine. I tried a 10 on the end of my desk and the desk bowed rather ominously, so I moved it, and the desk and tank are both fine. Your desk my be better suited to the task though. So i f you use the desk just watch out for bowing and bad noises as you fill it up. If you get them drain the tank promptly, and find another option.

Actually, If you know exactly what wood you'll need and the sizes you can get your local Home Depot or Lowe's to cut all of the pieces right to spec for you.

If you have Home Depot or Lowes doing the cutting, plan on all of your wood cut the wrong size, these guys mess it up every time. Best to cut your own wood.

I have had many pieces of wood cut at lowes before I had my own equipment with no problems

i had the wood cut for my stand at home depot.. they cut with a jig that does pretty accurate and consistant cuts... even the plywood..
