If you over filter it and do TONS of water changes you could maybe do it without the bichr. the reason I said it was overstocked was because they might kill each other. If they do not it will be OKAY. But when they are bigger i would be prepared for an outbreak. It is hard to tell when they are juveniles.
can someones explain to me how the bichir wont work. I have owned so many bichirs over the years and have had only 1 senegal go over 10 inches. the tank will be fine just add another filter and continue to do more water changes. BUt i would dump the clown loaches and tetras. Im not gonna tell you to listen to cuz it will help you like some troll on here. But do what you want with the fish juST up the filtration cuz your fish are still small so you have lots of time to get another tank or upgrade
@ aquamonster, no worries. I have been watching the tank and am in the process of purchasing another filter. If anything the loaches can go to a family members 135 with 3 other loaches. The tetras will also go and maybe the convict. Like i said, i rather safely rehome a fish then have it murdered or something. Thank you all for the advice

if i was to rehome all the fish, what would be a good mean wet pet? Would a red devil or something work? I just think it would be cooler to see him grow then the community type thing. All fish would go to a safe home or one of my spare aquariums. I will also increase filtration also. So thanks again
