I was just told in another forum that you can't tell whether your fish are happy...
What are your thoughts???

well that was on another forum,,, i bet you the guys on here will tell you yes of corse you can tell if your fish are happy,, lots of ways

I dont know if fish are "happy" in the same way that we think of happy but you can tell when they are stress free and relaxed. That is what we all want for our fish.

When they leap out of water and plant one on your lips...

Seriously, there is such thing as healthy in a fish, happy? not so much.

I would agree with this statement. I don't think fish can truly be "happy" in the same way that I don't think cows become "bored" of eating grass. It's just not part of their nervous system. On the other hand, if they can be kept stress free with good water and plenty of food, then they do seem to "enjoy" playing some games together and exploring new features that are put into your tank.

way i see it is they have belly full of food, warm bed, comfy room, no bullys, no job, free light, free nookie,i dont hear them complaining so i just assume they're happy:popcorn:

Hahaha I like that! But I guess I'm viewing stress free fishy as happy fishy :) and there are plenty of ways to tell if your fish is stress free.
