Nothing out of the ordinary here, perp continues to walks towards cop after the cop gave him an order. Personally, I would have shot the punk, but that's just me lol. The only people who hate cops are the criminals or idiots who do stupid things, like not following orders. IF a cop tells you to stop, you stop. I don't think the kick was necessary lol this cop obviously has no restraining skills.

If this man does have demantia... he maybe doesn't even understand "STOP RIGHT THERE". To him it might be - "POPS, COME RIGHT HERE. Who's know with out the audio because he purposely turned off the microphone.
That was completely unnecessary.. no need to kick and repeatedly punch someone who has made no threatening actions towards you. The man having dementia does matter. Perhaps the cop told him to stop but he couldn't comprehend what the cop was saying, and thus the cop responded by his failure to stop by beating the man to the ground? We can't know for certain. There's not audio or accompanying information to this video other than the man having dementia, so we really can't say anything for certain. Maybe the cops actions were justified but from what I can see I highly doubt that.certain
Im not a criminal and I hate the air cops breath. They are power hungry losers with low IQs.
If you would have shot him you would be in jail. Thats not even remotly funny so no "lol" needed here. He has dementia. Ever heard of it? How about using pepper spray? He walks twords the guy and kicks the elderly man. Then when pinned chokes the guy and punches him in the kidneys. What vermin. Needs fired and brought up on charges. its easy to judge things when your not there. if you have never worked as a police officer then you have no idea how you would respond to a situation. as for those who say they hate police officers, who cares we hate criminals like you anyway so the feeling is mutual.
So turning off dash cam is ok? Kidney punching elderly man is ok? Doing a little hop step kick is ok? Choking the elderly man that ur lying on top off is ok?

There are good cops and douche bag cops... just as there are good mailmen and douche bag mailmen. Some cops are as low, dirty, inhumane scumbags as people say they are. But calling all cops "pigs" is just unfair. Police brutality will always make the news, but when a cop saves someone or simply helps an old lady across the street will never get on so much as a sunday coffee house rag.
Some cops are power-abusing, violent, POS' that should undoubtedly be stripped of their badges and put behind bars. Or better yet, put into stocks on street corners to be hit with rotten vegetables. But it's not fair to lump them ALL under that category. I have several police officers in my family, and I cna guarantee to you that none of them would do that to someone if there was no threat.

You people hating on cops.. Did you even read the youtube description? This police officer was called because this man threatened another with a knife. Dementia or not, if a man who you believe has a knife is coming towards you and you repeatedly ask him to back away and he doesn't, you have no choice. I agree that the beating was harsh but as a cop you never know when somebody is gonna reach into his pocket and stab or shoot you.
