I bought a 20gal to use as a sump, and it didn't fit... so I might just use it as a grow out or breed something small for feeders... What would be a cheap light to use for it? Any suggestions?

Get one of the lights at wal-mart that are meant to go under countertops...they work great and cheap.

i'm using a 15 dollar reading lamp on my 30, but i only have cave tetras so it desn't realy matter to them what i use

That's what I was maybe thinking about.. like the one in "Pixar"? haha.. that's the only way I can think of how to describe it.. like a desk lamp kinda thing

Ah gotcha now.. I think that'd be easiest

yeah, but i only use it when i want to view the fish since it is incandesent and heats the water.

Buy a damn reptile lite, the spotlight looking one and it even has a clamp so u can mount on tank, or u can leave it flat on lid. That way u can use florecent, led or whateve.

Or goto a hardware store and explore the 9000000 different lighting options!

Or if ur that cheap buy a candle lmao!
