  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wow incredible build..............love it very much... what talent..!!!

GL with your test fill, I am watching with interest.

Here are some updated pics. I recently filled the tank. It took me 4 days to fill it, a quarter each day. Its been a couple days and so far there are no leaks hopefully it stays like that. (knocks on wood) lol. Im probably going to wait a few weeks with water in it then im going to drain it and place the background in. I will also finish up the filtering and piping. Im going to try to blend it all in with the background so nothing shows. This is the tank being filled.

I must say it is very impressive craftsmanship that you managed to get that window sealed in. Not a lot of people manage that. I have seen bad cases even with glass. With acryllic I don't think I have seen one success before. May I ask how you did that? Did you put the glass into place first and then fill in silicone in the gap? Or did you use the regular technique with putting on the silicone and then pushing the glass into it? Also, did you sand the acryllic first, and did you sand the epoxy?

Thanks :)
Well I think the reason why this held up was because I made a frame around the acrylic. The acrylic fits in the frame with about 2 mm clearance on all four sides. I first flipped the tank on its side, sanded down some of the frame and acrylic. I then put silicone around the entire frame 24 tubes of it. After that we slid the acrylic in and dropped into the frame. I then filled the 2mm gap between the frame and acrylic with more silicone.

Here is a simple diagram. Ill post up a pic of what im talking about later so you can see how it was done exactly.
