I want to start feeding my arowana and RTC raw shrimp, but I heard that feeding it raw shrimp will make the water dirty and cloudy very easy unless I do frequent water change. Is that true?
Also do you guys use activated carbon to make the water clear?

carbon chemically removes certain chemicals like ammonia and chlorine from the water, they won't clarify per say that is up to mechanical filtration. FYI you need to do frequent water changes for those fish as they produce LOTS of toxins and waste, even if you can't see it test your water. Raw shrimp will not produce dramatically more waste/mess than feeding any good pellet assuming you do proper tank maintenance and have it properly filtered.

What size tank? Though you should be ok. I use to feed shrimp to my aro all the time, never had any water problems. As long as your doing the common sense stuff, remove uneaten food, and don't over feed. You should be fine.

as long as the shrimp doesn't sit in the tank for a long period of time, you'll be fine. like said above, remove anything that is uneaten.

I find cloudyness is worse with pellets than shrimp, pellets have too many fine particals that float around in your tank. As stated above regular water changes with correct that.
