My new 75 gal. & filtration

I couldn't bring myself to buy guppys. I've had this convict in there for five days, there were two but he killed the other one! Attacks my finger too! lol. I love this fish. If it wasn't going to be in a tank with 5" and 9" terrors I might be worried.

Nice looking tank. Looks just like my 75G Oceanic that I got used. It had the same perforated standpipe that yours has, but I replaced that with a durso to try minimize the noise. The check valve on the return line wass to prevent back syphoning in case of a power outage or your pump failing.

Thank you, Your right about it being an Oceanic:) I figured thats what the valve was for but the overflow box will stop the siphon before my sump is full. Whats a durso? I would like to minimize noise in the box also.
 
^ I'm glad you like it! ^ I spaced the trim 1/2" off the ground so it wont chip if I have to move it.
 
A Durso...got it! works great.
