LFS ordered these by mistake. Score!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I scored yesterday. My dad said that he would buy me a pleco for my tank with a lot of algae. I told him to look for a briselnose pleco. We found an albino long finned brissel nosed pleco. It was only $4!!

I hope you just bought 1 man :D

Not sure what that has to do with anything. You will learn that plecos aren't great algea eaters but make more waste then they will consume

If the picture in the thread starters avatar is any indication then I don't think placing these cats in a big enough tank wil be a problem.

nice pick ups

Bn's are pretty much the best "algae eaters" money can buy. I agree about the waste factor though.

I have have 6 of them and the buggers only eat the shrimp and smelt for my Ropes and Sen. I'm giving away 5 of them cause they are such a Bioload waste..

Strangely enough my L106 Orange seam pleco eats every ounce of algae in my 55, haven't seen any since I got him.

Back on topic though, those are some awesome catfish. And a good deal, since by me they typically fetch $30 each for that size. Updates every week because they're going to grow like WEEDS

LOL yeah the one who ate the BGK is already 1/2" longer than his tankmate. Hope he doesn't get enough of a head start to eat his little bro for lunch. I'm planning to feed them as much as they'll eat for the first little while. I can't really put them into my large tank until they are about 12". I figure that'll be 4-5 months :p

Are they around 4" now? I'd expect them to get to 12" within 3 months, as I've seen (and heard) that they can put on 3" a month when they're young. Which is pretty ridiculous :jaw:
